Dr Michael Thomas
Co-Investigator
Michael Thomas is a Lecturer in Bionanotechnology and Biochemical Engineering based at UCL’s London Centre for Nanotechnology and the Department of Biochemical Engineering.
Mike’s main area of research is in lateral-flow biosensor technology development. Mike brings advanced engineering principles, nanomaterial synthesis and characterisation techniques to develop improved understanding of nanoparticle responses in various biosensing formats.
The technologies developed within his research are then directed at both infectious disease detection and to the development of small-scale/low-cost platform analytical tools for bionanoparticle characterisation and bioprocess monitoring.
